Wendall Scott

Born Wendall Gardner, Wendall took on Scott for his stage name in honor of the black pioneer and first black Nascar Champion Wendell Scott. A Bostonian lyricist, songwriter, and videographer, he started rapping on paper and in street cyphers at the age of nine. At a young age, Wendall fell into crime, hustling to provide for himself, so his mother could take care of his young sisters. After serious run-ins with police, he began focusing more on his talent, striving to show there are better paths to success than a gangster lifestyle. He co-founded Smoove Gang in ’08 and pushes to make it the next level, paving the way for his peers and two sons.
